2. Stewart Steen – Anti Social Behaviour Policy
Stewart gave a talk about the Anti Social Behaviour Policy that is currently under review.
Every Resident and Tenant Group has received an offer for a representative from the Anti Social Team to attend one of their meetings to discuss the Anti Social Policy and any local problems. Residents groups are encouraged to take control of their own area to tackle anti social behaviour.
Questionnaires have been sent out in an attempt to improve the service and feed back from the responses analysed. One of the changes that has been made is the new three tier system – only three warnings are now given to any tenants for anti social behaviour.
There is better exchange of information now from other agencies e.g. Police, which helps speed investigations and to tackle anti social behaviour.
The Anti Social Team also visits secondary schools and gives talks to pupils re anti social behaviour.
Rena thanked Stewart for his input.
